1Summary
Scrollized is built so that we never receive your content. The links you save, the pages they point to, and the summaries and decks made from them are processed and stored on your device. Summaries are made by Apple Intelligence running on your device. We have no servers that receive your content, and we use no analytics, advertising or tracking.
The only data that leaves your device is what is needed to fetch a page you saved (sent to that page's website) and to handle Scrollized Pro purchases (sent to Apple and RevenueCat).
Who is responsible. The controller of personal data processed in connection with the App is Tomasz Milczarek, Poland ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@scrollized.app.
2What stays on your device
The following data is created and used only on your device. We never receive it, and it is never sent to any third-party service, AI provider, analytics tool or advertiser.
- Links you save, whether added in the App or sent from another app's share sheet. Links from the share sheet wait in a storage area shared only between Scrollized and its share extension on your device.
- Page text downloaded from those links, used to make a deck and then discarded.
- Summaries and decks generated from that text, including titles, cards and the page's original title.
- Your activity in the App: favorites, reading progress and onboarding status.
- Settings: reading preferences, card look, appearance and notification choice.
Summaries and decks are generated by Apple Intelligence running on your device. Apple's on-device model processes the page text locally; nothing is sent to Apple or any other server to summarize it. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
3Storage, iCloud backup and deletion
The data in section 2 is stored in the App's private storage on your device. Scrollized does not sync it to iCloud or any other cloud service.
- iCloud Backup. If iCloud Backup is turned on for your device, iOS includes the App's data in your device backup. That backup is stored by Apple, protected by your Apple Account and governed by Apple's terms. We have no access to it.
- Deleting a deck in the App removes it, its cards and its reading progress from your device.
- Deleting the App removes all of its data from your device. Copies in existing iCloud backups are kept or deleted by you through your Apple Account settings.
4Data that leaves your device
Only three recipients ever receive data from the App, and none of them receives your page text, summaries or decks.
- The website of a link you save receives a standard web request: your IP address, the page address and the device's browser information. Why: to download the page so it can be summarized. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, providing the App you asked to use.
- Apple (App Store) receives purchase and payment details, handled under your Apple Account. Why: to sell and renew Scrollized Pro. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performing the purchase contract.
-
RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, App Store transaction details, device model, OS and app version, and IP address. Why: to confirm whether you have Scrollized Pro and to restore purchases. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performing the purchase contract.
-
Websites act on their own and are governed by their own privacy policies. Some pages are loaded in a temporary, non-persistent web view that keeps no cookies after it closes.
- Apple is an independent controller for App Store purchases under its own privacy policy. We receive no payment details.
- RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) processes purchase data on our behalf as a processor. It never receives your links, page text, summaries or decks, and we do not link the anonymous ID to your name or email.
5Sharing, notifications and tracking
- Sharing. Generated summaries and decks cannot be shared from the App. The Share action passes only the link to the original source and the page's original title to the app you choose; that app's privacy policy then applies.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, the App shows a local notification when a deck is ready. It is created on your device; no push service or server is involved.
- No tracking. The App contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not use the advertising identifier.
- No accounts. You do not create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email or contacts.
- Children. The App is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
6International transfers
RevenueCat is based in the United States. Transfers of purchase data to it rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7Retention
Data on your device is kept until you delete it or the App. Purchase data held by RevenueCat is kept for as long as needed to provide Scrollized Pro and to meet legal and tax obligations, under RevenueCat's retention terms. Apple keeps purchase records under its own policy.
8Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because your content never reaches us, you exercise most of these rights directly on your device by editing or deleting it. For purchase data, contact us and we will act on your request through RevenueCat.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.
9Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the App's handling of data changes, for example if a feature starts using a server. The current version and its effective date are always available in the App and on our website.
