1Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading or using Scrollized ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App is provided by Tomasz Milczarek ("we", "us"). These Terms apply together with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If the two conflict, these Terms apply to the extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms. The current version and its effective date are always available in the App and on our website. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
2What the App does
Scrollized turns web links you save into short decks of cards that summarize the linked page.
- You add a link in the App or send it from another app's share sheet.
- The App downloads the page directly from its website and extracts its readable text on your device.
- Apple Intelligence, running on your device, writes a summary and a deck of cards from that text.
The App requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence turned on. Some features, card counts or layouts may require Scrollized Pro (section 7).
3Your data stays on your device
Everything you save is processed and stored on your device. We do not run servers that receive your links, page text, summaries or decks, and we cannot see them.
- No third-party processing. Your links, the text of the pages you save, and the summaries and decks generated from them are never sent to any third-party service, AI provider, analytics tool or advertiser.
- On-device AI. Summaries and decks are generated by Apple Intelligence on your device. The page text is never sent to Apple or any other server to be summarized.
- Fetching pages. To read a link, the App connects directly to that link's website, as your browser would. That website receives a normal web request from your device and is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
- Storage and iCloud. Your library, decks, favorites, reading progress and settings are stored in the App's storage on your device. If iCloud Backup is turned on, this data is included in your device's iCloud backup, which is protected by your Apple Account and governed by Apple's terms. We have no access to it.
- Deleting data. Deleting a deck in the App removes it from your device. Deleting the App removes all of its data from your device; copies in existing iCloud backups are managed by you through Apple.
Apart from the web request that fetches a page, purchases are the only data that leaves your device; see section 7. Our Privacy Policy describes this in more detail.
4The original source is always shown
Every deck is linked to the page it was made from. The App always displays the source of a deck and lets you open the original page from the deck's details and from every card.
A summary is not a substitute for the original. Summaries can miss nuance, context or corrections, and long pages may be summarized only in part (the deck's "About this deck" says so). Before relying on any information, read the original source.
All rights in the original content belong to its authors and publishers. The App does not claim ownership of, endorse, or verify any linked content.
5Generated summaries and decks are for your personal use
Summaries and decks exist only on your device (and in your device's iCloud backup, if enabled) and cannot be shared, exported or published from the App. The Share action shares only the link to the original source and the page's original title as written by its publisher, never generated summaries, cards or titles.
- Generated content is for your own personal, non-commercial reading.
- You may not copy, republish, sell or distribute generated summaries or decks, or present them as the original author's work.
- Generated content is produced automatically by AI and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong, including quotes and numbers. It is not professional, medical, legal or financial advice.
- We do not review or moderate generated content and are not responsible for it.
6Acceptable use
You are responsible for the links you save. You agree not to use the App to:
- access content you have no right to access, or bypass paywalls, logins or other access controls;
- violate any law or the rights of others, including copyright;
- reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the App, except where the law allows.
7Scrollized Pro and purchases
Scrollized Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the App before you buy.
- Payments are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings or in Settings → Scrollized Pro. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- To confirm your Pro status and restore purchases, the App uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription information and the basic technical data needed to verify it (such as an anonymous app user ID, transaction details, device model, OS and app version), never your links, page text, summaries or decks. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- If you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights, including withdrawal rights as applied by Apple, are not affected.
8Intellectual property
The App, its design, code, mascot and branding belong to us. Emoji stickers are from Microsoft Fluent Emoji (MIT License) and Google Animated Noto Emoji (CC BY 4.0); credits appear in Settings.
9Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be error-free, that every link can be read, or that generated content is accurate. Availability of Apple Intelligence depends on your device, language and Apple.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence.
10Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may stop offering the App or any feature. Because your data is stored on your device, it remains under your control.
11Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of Poland. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved exclusively by the competent common courts in Warsaw, Poland. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence or of your right to bring proceedings in the courts where you live, to the extent such rights cannot be waived by agreement.
